Sixty-five groups report spending more on lobbying in a single quarter, with National Association of Realtors leading pack. The National Association of Realtors spent $10.1 million on lobbying during the second quarter, a record figure for the organization, coming at a time when many groups are spending more on advocacy than ever before.Sixty-five organizations tracked by CEO Update reported pouring more money into lobbying than they had for any quarter since 2008, when Congress started collecting quarterly disclosure records.
